Desktop Agent
Metad analytics platform's Desktop Agent service helps users access their internal data sources through our SaaS web application.
If you are using the Metad analytics platform web application, we recommend downloading and installing the Metad Desktop Agent, a mini application that runs on your desktop. The Desktop Agent overcomes the browser's Cross-Origin Resource Sharing (CORS) restrictions and acts as a proxy for the API requests you make from the Metad web application.
Download the latest version of the Local Agent.
- This is only applicable to public cloud systems and is not suitable for private deployment systems.
Download and install the local agent software on your computer. Open or refresh the Metad analytics platform, and the webpage will automatically connect to the local agent. Once the connection is successful, the proxy icon in the lower right corner of the webpage will turn green.
Data Sources
To use the local agent to connect to a database, you need to enable the Use Local Agent feature when creating or modifying the data source configuration.
